RECEIPT WAVES: FOOD STAMP CHALLENGE 2009. DIMENSIONS VARIABLE.

Congressman Tim Ryan supposedly bought and lived from the food he purchased using the $21.00/ week food stamp budget. He posted his receipt and wrote about the experience on his website. The price of each transaction on his posted Safeway receipt was translated into sine waves (an additional zero added for audibility). Concerned readers and food stamp participants scolded the congressman and in return posted their shopping/ nutritional criticisms. The result is an audible comparison of various strategies for buying and living on a government assisted budget in the U.S.
